Absolutely once of my favourite places to shelter from the weather. The staff behind the bar are knowledgeable and super friendly. Visited a few years back and camped at Sligachan Campsite across the way. So we stayed in the bar and happily spent a small fortune on whiskey sheltering from a storm. Visited again yesterday briefly and memories didn't disappoint. I think it's going to be on our list every time we visit Skye Didn't try the food but can say it looks beautiful

The Seumas bar is connected to the Sligachan hotel. Although I didn’t experience the hotel as we were camping 3min’s walk across the road at the Sligachan camp site, the bar is very well located, lots of seating and very popular during the travel season. In the winter season the bar moves back into the hotel bar and still remains the fully stocked whisky selections. The Seumas bar also from time to time has local musicians (we only experienced a couple of young lads (twins or brothers I think) we’re playing very traditional sounds to give a very local experience. As we stayed for four nights at the camp site across the road for hiking we thus had the time to try many of the menu favourites from Haggis and tats, burger and the salmon. Well recommend to try the restaurant food on your visit if you have time or simply sit in the bar area where you can have bar food. Service was also super quick on each occasion although the restaurant was around 50% to 60% full. Now the Seumas bar Whisky selection,,,,, wow this is the experience with a very memorable trip to the Isle of Skye. The whiskey selection is greater than 280 bottles and thus a very wide choice from all over Scotland and a far. You can also find a few Japanese selections in the mix. Prices vary, but reasonable (so many to choose from), and up to some very special, a bit pricier, Whiskey experiences if your budget allows. At the Seumas you are also able to have a whisky tasting experiences in the afternoon and there are tours to this bar to facilitate this. The staff are super fantastic and friendly and happy to share experiances of whiskey’s, the local area and best ways to taste different flavours from this super wide selection and the staff have such wide knowledge of Whiskies to help you find the best one that suits you or just to try. One Whiskey my brother said I should try that he had personally tried a very long time ago is a whisky called “As We Get It”, note he’s. Or a whisky drinking like me but this one he likes. It’s a whisky to try during your whisky tour so simple ask for it. Some others bars might not have this but we did find it at the Seumas Bar. I had more than one dram!

We really enjoyed the bars amazing atmosphere, waiting time for the food preparation has taken 15 to 20 min. We observed all the dishes are freshly made sourcing from local. The bar counter and the music is on the spot. Worth taking pictures, to keep the memories alive. Very friendly staff highly recommended to visit this iconic place to anyone traveling through the Isle of Skye route.

I really liked it there. The food was really nice, I was surprised about the nice big bowl of soup I got. We shared the chips because it was such a huge portion I couldn't handle it on my own. The beer was great also. I was very happy with the service, the gentleman showed us to our table and immediately fetched a biscuit for my little dog. She was then happily snoozing on my lap while we were eating.

Great bar ... Best thing is the music is quiet so you can enjoy having a good conversation there. Great bar staff too.

We spent 4 nights at a B&B down the road from Seumas’ and ate dinner here the first night. We liked it so much that we ate there all 4 nights. The food was excellent, the servers were all friendly and cheerful, and the overall vibe was relaxed and pleasant. This was in mid-May and we didn’t have reservations but there was no problem with getting a table. Later in the tourist season reservations might be a good idea. Dogs are also allowed which I found delightful.

Lively hotel bar in a stunning location. Has a couple of ales on tap as well as a choice of bottled ale. Guinness is good too. Serves food with large dining area. Hundreds of whiskeys on offer if that’s your thing. I sat in here for a couple of hours on the Guinness. I was never short of someone to chat to as it had a steady flow of customers coming and going. Offers accommodation obviously and there’s a campsite opposite. Good for people watching and chatting. Also there’s another hotel bar next door but it’s dead! Dog friendly.
